Defining ‘Learning 2.0’
Web 2.0 is a new way to leverage technology to foster broader enterprise learning, performance and knowledge sharing. It’s easy to implement, flexible and powerful. Web 2.0 and Learning 2.0 includes:

  • Peer-to-peer networking (P2P) – a technique for efficiently sharing files (music, videos or text) via the Internet
  • Podcasts – audio or video recordings distributed through an aggregator
  • Collaboration and social networking – systems that allow members to find others by skills, talents, knowledge or preferences, and work together toward structured or unstructured outcomes.
  • Virtual worlds or 3DI – virtual environments that can be used to share, collaborate and simulate real-world interactions
  • Web services – software systems that make it easier for different systems to communicate in order to pass information or conduct transactions
  • Blogs and Wikis – systems for collaborative knowledge sharing and publishing.
