Chantel Sheaks is a Principal of Government Affairs in the National Technical Resources Group of Buck Consultants, an ACS company. Prior to joining Buck, Sheaks was at Georgetown University where she served as Legislative Counsel for Tax and Benefits on its Workplace Flexibility 2010 project.
Earlier, she was a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Sheaks holds a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Russian from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She is a member of the District of Columbia, Georgia and Virginia Bar Associations, and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.

In addition, Sheaks develops and maintains working relationships with governmental staff, legislative staff, legislators, and employee benefits industry leaders.
